Guided tours
The representative of your agency may not necessarily be a Licensed Guide. Guided tours in general including guided tours of archeological sites are undertaken exclusively by guides who are officially certified by  the DODECANESE ASSOCIATION OF TOURISTS. Hotels. 
Rhodes is famous for the good service provided by its hotels and in general for all tourist accommodation. Frequent inspections are made by certified services for optimal service and health and safety. If you notice something that does not satisfy you or does not meet international service standards you are aware of we recommend you discuss this with your accommodation representative and  travel agent during your stay. TAXI
You can find a taxi for your transfer from the Airport or Port through the relevant internet platforms. There are price lists for routes advertised  by taxi ranks in several locations within Rhodes Town and many other locations.  Various websites provide transfer services. Any prices given for routes are approximate and indicative. Additional charges may be made for routes to and from the airport as well as for a large volumes of luggage. Relevant information is posted inside taxis. It is always wise to visit the websites for taxi services or contact the South Aegean Consumer Protection Institute by e-mail at inka12.gr@gmail.com for further information before travel.
 
Public transport. 
Public transport in Rhodes is of high quality and provides for a good level of service. Tickets for travel can be obtained from the public transport kiosks or from the driver on the bus. Credit and Debit Cards are not normally accepted by the Bus Driver.

Rental of cars, mopeds, bicycles, small boats. 
Many companies on Rhodes have cars, mopeds, bicycles, small boats and other related means of transport for hire. Visitors are advised to check out costs and conditions for these services on  websites available on the internet.
Find out and compare prices.
For any such hire make sure you check the vehicle for any damage on receipt. If necessary take photos and Inform the hire company representative of  any damage to the vehicle etc. that you noticed on receipt before leaving the office or rental space. Make sure you have all relevant contact details, including for the office and emergency services, that you may need in the event of an accident.
 
Food & Beverage services. 
All restaurants, cafes and bars must have detailed menus indicating the prices of the delicacies and drinks they offer. Always ask for a menu before ordering. Pay only the listed price. The store is obliged to indicate on the menu all the charges that accompany the customer service. All stores must have a complaints form. If you are not satisfied with the service raise this with the food outlet direct.  You can also contact the South Aegean Consumer Protection Institute by e-mail at inka12.gr@gmail.com should your complaint not be resolved by the café or restaurant.
 
Please be aware that driving any motor vehicle after having consumed alcohol is a serious criminal offense. 
 
Shopping
Rhodes has a wide variety of shops and is the ideal island for shopping at good prices and good quality. You do  have the right to change the product you bought as long as you have the proof of purchase. General information
You can trust the competent authorities.
For any purchase you should  ask for a receipt with QR code and by scanning it and visiting the appropriate website we can ensure it is legal. All Stores and service providers can be paid by debit card without extra charge. It is an obligation of the store or service provider to provide you with this method of payment. 
You should note that any driving violation will follow you to your home country with much higher charges. We suggest therefore that any violations should be paid during your stay on the island. Payment can be made at any local post office. 
Always drive the motorcycle wearing a helmet.
Always drive a car with your seat belt fastened. 
 
When you are in a forest area please be careful not to start a fire. During the summer months there is  a high risk of fire and culpability entails great criminal liability.
Please Protect the environment.
 
Do not make purchases from unlicensed street vendors or from someone who may offer a massage whilst on your sunbed; or sell you a service without being Licensed.
